Qui Qui
I am so glad the working week is almost over!
I'm looking forward to relaxing with my Fiancé  and preparing for our big move into our new home.
With Easter fast approaching I also plan on making some sweet treats for my loved ones and of course make a special visit to La Belle Miette for my second macaron review.

What are your plans? What ever they are I hope its simply fabulous x

Hitched in Paris

Save the date!
One of the best things about planning a wedding is choosing invitations.
I am absolutely obsessed with an online US stationary company - Minted.
They have an array of gorgeous stationary for birthdays, engagements, weddings etc.
I recently ordered our engagement invitations from Minted which arrived in minimal time and are simple but very sweet.
One of my favourite designs is this save the date card - Its different and very cute.
I most certainly wish we were asking our guests to "save the date" to attend our wedding in Paris.

One can only hope x

Parisian Chic

Portmans Dress - $129.95

Portmans Gloves - $19.95

You don't need to be born in Paris to have Parisian style!
Parisian style is an attitude, a state of mind.
Parisian women don't follow fashion trends, they create it - I live by this everyday!
I'm not French, I am Australian with Maltese born parents but I still manage to bring Parisian style into my wardrobe every day.

On a recent shopping adventure I came across this very sweet and very Parisian dress and  gloves from Portmans. I simply couldn't refuse these delights and I think they make the perfect pair for the cold Melbourne Winter that is fast approaching.
I always seem to dress like the colour of the clouds in the cold months, but this Winter I'm taking the brights shades of Summer with me x

Macaron Mardi (Tuesday)

Brunetti's macaron giftbox

Today's post is the first of my top 20 Melbourne Macaron reveiws!
On the weekend I visited the Carlton Brunetti store where I purchased my first macaron for review -
An all time classic chocolate one.
The Brunetti version is reasonably priced at $2.50 each, with a crunchy shell and a soft and decadent cholcate ganache filling - This biscuit instantly melted my heart!
They have 11 flavours such as lemon, la aqua di rose, and the Italian classic Tiramisu and can be purchased individually or in a gift box.
Overall I give their chocolate macaron a 4/5!
I strongly recommend a visit to Burnetti if not for their macarons then for the other amazing sweets x
An array of sweetness!

Next on the list- La Belle Miette.

Ladurée Love

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!
My weekend was spent catching up with friends, searching Melbourne for mini pegs (I will explain all in a different post - stay tuned), seeing a French movie and of course macaron tasting!

On Friday night I caught up with one of my dear friends - Susan.
She surprised me with a beautiful housewarming gift for our pending move into our new home - The Ladurée Paris Savoury Recipes box.
The signature pink box is filled with stunning savouries recipes from the luxurious patisserie. Ladurée's reputation was built around its renowned sweets, now they have gone a step further and have created a recipe collection marrying the sweet and the savoury.
The book is a must for anyone who loves the art of French cooking.

I can't wait to try some of the recipes once we are settled into our new home!

The Ladurée Paris book on macarons is a must have!
There's no wonder why 15,000 Ladurée macarons are sold in France every day!

Have a lovely week x

Vendredis Amour (Friday Love) x

Friday's would be so much for fun if we all had one of these in our office!

Happy Friday everyone!
What are your pans for the weekend? This weekend I am looking forward to seeing La Delicatesse staring my favourite French actress Audrey Tautou at The Alliance Francaise French Film Festival in Melbourne, as well as catching up with some friends and reviewing some macarons at Brunetti.

Have a fabulous weekend x

My style icon...

Audrey Hepburn
Breakfast at Tiffany's - 1961

Audrey Hepburn on location in Paris
Paris When It Sizzles - 1964

I have always admired Audrey Hepburn. Her style and grace is captivating and continues to inspire many women of all ages all around the world.
My favourite image of Audrey is the shot of her in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. She not only displays elegance but a hint of sexiness as well. Her look as been best described as ultra-feminine and very Parisian.
The little black dress which is worn by Audrey in the beginning of the film is cited as one of the most iconic items of clothing in the history of the twentieth century and most would agree the most famous little black dress of all time.
In 2006 the dress was sold at auction in London for £467,200 which was donated to Audrey’s charity.
My favourite quote x

It all started with the first bite!

My first macaron experience began a few years ago when my lovely friend Natalie took me to Cafe Vue in Melbourne. From the very first bite of my salted Carmel macaron I instantly feel in love!
Recently I discovered that there is a top 20 list of the best macarons in Melbourne.
My mission is to try every single one on this list and rate them on appearance, size, flavour and most importantly sweetness.
If you have any recommendations on the best macaron you have ever tasted please feel free to share your thoughts x

Stay tuned first up is Melbourne's coffee and sweets mecca Brunetti.

It all started with an image...

My fiancé Dave and I recently got engaged on Christmas Day.
It is a very exciting time and I couldn't wait to immerse myself in bridal magazines & blogs.
One particular afternoon I came across this image of a vase filled with elegant long stem roses.
This image instantly provided me with inspiration for our wedding colour palette. I can't wait to choose invitations, bridesmaid dresses and venue decorations to match the warm shades of pinks and peaches.

It's mid-morning on a Monday and already my desk is covered in crap, I have a to do list a page long and my inbox is full of red flags. I sit back for a moment and all i can think about is where I'd rather be...
Sitting by the Effiel Tower filling my belly with sweet Ladurée Macarons.
