Chloé on my mind!

Chloé Marcie small leather tote £1,280.12
Chloé Diane leather tote £1,266
On the hunt to find a practial bag that fits the entire contents of my life including my purse, keys, make-up, diary, phone and ipad I accidentally drifted off to the fantasy world of French sophistication - Chloé.

I don't usually find myself coveting Chloé, I am more of a YSL & Chanel kind of girl but I was delighted  by the large array of beautiful practical handbags to suit any style. Previously helmed by the king of Parisian style, Karl Largerfield what isn't there to admire from Chloé.
Although very much out of my price range I couldn't resist exploring Chloé's entire Spring/Summer collection.
I think Chloé is definitely at the top of my wishlist now.
Enjoy x

Parisian Landmarks - Love Magnets

My lovely and very creative sister inlaw-to-be, Ange has recently launched her new business venture "Love Magnet", creating unique magnets made from original Scrabble blocks. All magnets are handmade in Perth with lots of love!

My fiancé and I received some very special custom made Love Magnets on the announcement of our engagement and I must say that are extremely sweet and a perfect addition to our fridge!

Ange has a stunning French vintage range of Love Magnets showcasing the many different faces of the Eiffel Tower and famous landmarks throughout Paris.

Parisian skyline...

Cute and affordable artwork!

Background colour can be customise to suit - I purchased both prints in purple

If I havent mentioned already I have a slight obbession with Etsy! For those of you whom are unaware of the joys Etsy brings I highly suggest you click here to begin expoloring the unique handmade arts and crafts from people just like you all around the world.

On a recent brouse searching for French homewares I discovered Bird Ave. They make unique skyline prints of cities, towns and landmarks around the world and they can all be customise to suit your colour decor at home.

There is an aray of cities available, all prints are $20 and can fit Ikea's Ribba frame so no need for custom framing!

I was excited to discover the two Paris prints which I couldnt resist and would make for some cute artwork in our sitting room.

I couldn't resist this piece which will be a perfect additon to our wedding decor!

Mardi (Tuesday) Macaron

Laurent Bakery

It has been a few weeks since my last macaron review and I am starting to have withdrawals!

On the weekend I popped into my local Laurent Bakery to review one or two of their delightful macaron's, on my hit list was lemon and pistachio.

I was very impressed with the entire ambiance of the bakery. With French music playing in the background, the combined smells of freshly baked crusty bread and the sweet scent of croissants instantly took me back to Paris.

Laurent macarons literally are heaven in a biscuit, my favourite of the two was the lemon flavour. It was perfect in size and the centre filling wasn’t too sweet. Overall I rate these treats a 4/5.

Not only does Laurent specialise in breads and macarons they also have a large selection of cakes and tarts which vary in size and are perfect for any occasion!

Add a little Frenchness to your next laundry wash!

Côte Noire - French fragrance heaven!

On a recent day trip to Williamstown I discovered a sweet smelling boutique that stock Côte Noire. Côte Noire is a collection of luxurious but affordable perfumed candles and home accessories. The range includes candles, diffusers, triple milled vegetable soaps, hand & body creams and a premium natural laundry range. The luxurious fragrances are all exclusively formulated and designed in France.

I first discovered Côte Noire in my hotel room in Paris where they delightfully provide guests with their soap and hand cream.

I purchased a few items from their laundry range which I am very impressed with!
The laundry powder is too special to use for everywash so I only use it when I am washing small delicate items.
The fragrance is divine and instantly takes me back to Parié.

Happy Friday!

This week I was doomed to fail as not one but two of my favorite shoes decided to let me down! One heal got stuck in a tram track and the other completely snapped in half! Needless to say this weekend I'm on a mission to get myself some new pumps!

Wittner always has pretty affordable shoes to suit any outfit however I would much rather get my feet into these Louis Vuitton black pumps!

Have a great weekend! x

Start the day with "Bonne Maman"!

Bonne Maman Raspberry Preserve
Each morning I begin my day with a French delight - Bonne Maman Raspberry Preserve. Bonne Maman (translated grandmother) preserves and jellies are produced in France, contain the finest quality fruit and 100% all-natural ingredients.
Up until recently I purchased my preserve from my local French deli but I have just discovered that Woolworths stock Bonne Maman for $4.79. The jar is a sweet addition to anyone's breakfast table and is delicious on a croissant or a slice of toast.
On a recent lunch date with a friend at a local cafe Friends of Mine, I noticed that Bonne Maman preserves come in small sample jars. This got me thinking that these treats would make for a perfect thank-you gift at our wedding.
With a simple tag saying "love is sweet" what better way than to bring a little French sweet lovin' to all our special guests.
Perfect thank-you gift!

Chanel filled Harper's Bazzar x

On Sunday afternoon I picked up a copy of the latest Harper's Bazzar magazine.
I couldn't resist as this month's copy comes with Harper's bridal special - an entire glossy magazine dedicated to all things bridal in the world of high end designers!

When I opened the May copy the scent of Chanel's No5 swept over me. To my delight I came across a double spread with an envelope with the number 5 written on it and a black ribbon. I pulled the ribbon out to discover a card with the iconic No5 bottle which filled the pages of Bazzar with the classic fragrance.

I knew from the moment that my afternoon spent in the sun in a world full of Chanel was going to be a delightful afternoon spent.

Perfect Autumn Days!

It's not Nice but it will do...
I hope you all had a lovely weekend!

My weekend was delightful. On Friday I caught up with a sweet friend of mine and scoured the city for last  minute accessories to complete my engagement party outfit. Who would have thought it would be near impossible to find a cute warm bolero…!
 Thank-god for Portmans.

On Saturday my fiancé and I spent the afternoon in Williamstown soaking up some sun while enjoying some lunch. The main strip in Williamstown is a boutique mecca with lots of cute shops filled with lots of pretty French homewares, fragrances and accessories. I bought a few bits and pieces which I will fill you in on later this week.

This morning all my baking dreams came true when my shinny new KitchenAid arrived! This is a very special engagement gift from my Dad and I simply cannot wait to test it out on macaron baking of course!

Enjoy your week x

Hermes Lust...

Hermes pink enamel bracelet $760

There are those moments in life that come by when you see something and instantly fall deeply in love and you lust for it day in and day out. This is the feeling that came over me when I was recently browsing the Hermes Australian online store. The moment I saw this Hermes pink enamel bracelet I instantly feel in love with it.
My brother is heading off on a European adventure for the Summer and this bracelet is definitely on the top of my wish list however I don't think I can last that long...
Maybe I can try and convince my fiancé - wish me luck on this one x

Vendredis Amour (Friday Love)

There's no better way to bring in the weekend that with some wise words from Coco herself!

This weekend I am looking forward to some outdoor fun in the sun!
Summer is still trying to hang on in Melbourne and I'm not complaining as I don't cope very well in the colder months.
We are currently living out of boxes at the moment in anticipation of our move into our brand new home. We cannot contain our excitement anymore and can't wait to finally be able to live our lives together as an engaged couple. It is such a special time in our lives that I think this weekend calls for some Moet!

What are your plans?
Enjoy the sunshine x

Mardi Macaron... on a Wednesday

Yum!
On Saturday my fiancé and I went to Chez Dre’, an original run down old warehouse transformed into a French patisserie, boulangerie & Cafe located in South Melbourne.
I have read some great reviews on Chez Dre’s sweets especially their macarons.

Their menu is full of traditionally French delights, with all day breakfast and a lunch menu with a twist I highly recommend a visit to this sweet cafe!  What caught my eye on their menu was their “Mac Attack” which includes a short mac and a macaron!

With a large selection of  flavours my heart couldn’t go past the Raspberry. It wasn’t the best I’ve had, the ganache was a little too sweet however the outer biscuit was perfect in size and crunch.
Overall I rate Chez Dre’s macaroon a 3/5.

Take your pick!

Easter weekend wrap up

Eiffel Tower Shortbread and some arts & crafts for our engagement party.
I trust that you all have an enjoyable Easter and over indulged in way to many chocolate treats. My weekend was pleasantly relaxing with little time spent outside the comfort of my bed. I finally finished my Coco Chanel b, searched the web for some French inspiration for my blog (stay tuned for some delightful posts), baked some very tasty treats and spent some quality time with my family and fiends.

On Good Friday I donated my time to assist The Royal Children's Hospital Appeal. I thoroughly enjoyed my afternoon of taking phone donations. The generosity of Victorians seizes to amaze me. Over 15 million dollars was raised for such a worthy cause.

The cold winter spell has come over Melbourne which is a sad farewell to our blissful sunny weather. It's definitely time to put my pretty dresses away and bring out the thick woollen coats and thick tights.

How did you spend your Easter weekend?

Harmonie De Printemps

Chanel Spring 2012 Make-up Collection
Spring is in the air in France and along with sunny days and sweet parie fashion comes Chanel’s 2012 Printemps collection. This collection brings the warm hues of pinks and oranges together and is enough to brighten up anyone’s makeup bag. I particularly love the blush colour palette, not only very chic it reminds me of neapolitan ice-cream.

A little bit of Miu Miu sparkle!

Miu Miu Sparkle x
I have had my eye on these Miu Miu Glitter Boots for a while now.
For months I would constantly stalk them on Net-A-Porter in hope that they would go on sale. Eventully they did on Boxing Day but I quickly missed out on a size 6.
On a recent online shopping expedition I "accidently" stumbled on a very simular pair from Sportsgirl. With 15% off shoes I simply couldn't resist and purchased them instantly.
They arrived today and I must say, they are glitterly delights!
They will make the perfect addition to my Autumn wardobe and will add just the right bit of sparkle to my day.

Hitched in Paris

Save the date!
One of the best things about planning a wedding is choosing invitations.
I am absolutely obsessed with an online US stationary company - Minted.
They have an array of gorgeous stationary for birthdays, engagements, weddings etc.
I recently ordered our engagement invitations from Minted which arrived in minimal time and are simple but very sweet.
One of my favourite designs is this save the date card - Its different and very cute.
I most certainly wish we were asking our guests to "save the date" to attend our wedding in Paris.

One can only hope x
